HMC’s Scientific Advisory Board provides valuable advice for further development

31.05.2022

In the already third meeting of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) of the incubator platform HMC, the SAB members were given a review of the activities of the past year, innovations and an outlook for the coming months.

The panel was again very impressed by the various activities and concrete steps HMC is implementing towards a FAIR Helmholtz Data Space. The visible developments of the whole platform over the last year were highlighted and seen as very positive. Likewise, the SAB was very pleased with the increasing networking within HMC as well as with external initiatives such as consortia of the German National Research Data Infrastructure - not only with regard to the development of synergies, but also for the establishment of sustainable infrastructures. The course for a long-term establishment of the platform has been set in the eyes of the panel, although it was emphasised that the development and establishment of new infrastructures takes time.

In addition to the positive feedback, there were some recommendations for the further development of the platform, which were well received and will be included in the further processes.
