Community Platform

We are currently in the process of building a Community Platform, a website that will serve both to provide information on the implementation of, and to discuss our planned Recommendations.
Our aim is to reach agreements within the Helmholtz Association on the points where there are different possibilities for turnover or leeway within metadata standards.

First of all, we have dedicated ourselves to the topic of "persistent identifiers (PID)".
On the one hand, because with the identifiers an unambiguous assignment is made possible, on the other hand, with their help, the automatic evaluation of the associated content should increase the findability of research results.
Further focal points of our exchange on the platform will be:
- Interfaces (API) for the exchange of metadata
- Semantics / vocabularies for the unmistakable description of content

Recommendations are decided and published on the Community Platform as living documents, to support the development of metadata management within the Helmholtz Association in the context of the international network.
