Centers in the research field Information
The Research Field Information stretches across 4 Helmholtz research centers:
Forschungszentrum Jülich is one of the largest research centers in the Helmholtz association with its resarch beign placed in three major areas to make a valuable contribution on the basis of our scientific expertise and high-performance infrastructures: information, energy, And bioeconomy. Forschungszentrum Jülich is Host of the HMC Hub Information
Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie (HZB) has six areas of primary research today: Solar Energy, Chemical Energy, Quantum and Functional Materials, Photon Science, Accelerators and Scientific Instrumentation and Support. HZB strives to achieve a climate neutral society through science and innovation. For this the center drives materials discovery, create new sustainable technologies.
Helmholtz Zentrum Hereon is located in Gesthacht near Hamburg. Through experimental studies, modeling and artificial intelligence, Hereon strives to generate knowledge and research new technologies for more resilience and sustainability for the benefit of the climate, the coasts and the people.
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) is the “The Research University in the Helmholtz Association” which stands for excellent research, outstanding academic education, and future-oriented innovation. From fundamental reasearch to application - KIT addresses societal change by excellent achievements in science, academic education, and innovation in close dialog with society.
HMC Hub Information is located with all members at its host-lab, the Institute for Advanced Simulation - Materials Data Science and Informatics (IAS-9) at Forschungszentrum Jülich.
