HUB Energy

In the Helmholtz Research Field Energy, scientists work on sustainable solutions for the energy transition in Germany and beyond. To this end, they research and develop innovative technologies for the conversion, distribution and storage of energy and develop solutions for a sustainable energy system in which electricity, heat and mobility are closely linked across sectors. The research data to be included in this process are as diverse as the subject areas, processes and systems to be considered.

The HMC Hub Energy maps and communicates the competences, ideas and domain-specific requirements available in the Research Field Energy in the enrichment of these research data with metadata in the sense of the FAIR principles and supports the Helmholtz scientists in this in many ways, in particular through suitable consulting and further training offers, through participation in ontology developments, through the creation and communication of software solutions and through the development and demonstration of exemplary use cases.
