Use Case from Section "Space"
At present, aircraft and spacecraft are manufactured at most partially automated. To enable more effective and resource-saving production, the degree of automation shall be increased. At the same time, the production data is to be recorded and compared with the nominal data from the design department in order to be able to make early statements on the resulting component quality (predictive quality) and, if necessary, initiate countermeasures. Many different types of data and software are used in this context. A semantic interpretability by means of metadata across different domains - such as design, production and quality assurance - would help to make aerospace safer and at the same time more efficient.
