HMC Project Kick-Off: INSTRUGRAM
Two weeks ago, the HMC project INSTRUGRAM, funded through our 2025 project call, officially kicked off in Hamburg.
INSTRUGRAM aims to simplify and standardize the registration of scientific instruments in metadata systems. To achieve this, the project will provide reusable templates based on the PIDINST schema, linked to controlled vocabularies. A modular tool will be developed to help researchers and technical staff generate high-quality, interoperable and FAIR instrument metadata with minimal effort, improving metadata quality, coverage and interoperability across research domains.
Participants from GEOMAR, Hereon, AWI, GFZ and BSH joined the kick-off meeting to exchange initial ideas and discuss the first steps towards implementation.
More information about INSTRUGRAM as well as on the other projects funded within the HMC project call 2025, will be published on our website soon.
