HMC Conference 2026: Call for Abstracts Open
The Helmholtz Metadata Collaboration invites contributions for the HMC Conference 2026, taking place 28–30 April 2026 in Heidelberg, Germany. Under the theme “Metadata in Action,” the conference welcomes submissions that demonstrate how metadata creates impact in practice – from infrastructure design to domain-specific applications.
Researchers, data stewards, infrastructure providers, and software developers are encouraged to submit abstracts highlighting how improved metadata practices enhance data quality, interoperability, and research impact.
Presentation Formats
Talk (10 + 2 minutes): Share your findings, innovations, or conceptual advances of broad relevance.
Poster & Pitch (A0 + 1 min pitch): Present your work in an interactive setting and advertise your poster in the plenary session.
Demo Poster & Pitch: Combine your poster with a live demonstration of tools, services, or prototypes showcasing metadata in action.

All accepted abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the Program Committee and published by HMC.
