Keynote Speaker: Dr. Jan Portisch

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Jan Portisch, Head of Content Infrastructure at SAP SE, as a keynote speaker at the HMC Conference 2026.

Dr. Portisch is an expert in knowledge graphs, data integration, and AI-driven enterprise applications, with more than a decade of experience translating advanced data science and semantic technology research into real-world solutions. His work focuses on the design and operationalisation of large-scale RDF knowledge graphs in complex, distributed environments, addressing core challenges in aligning and integrating heterogeneous data sources at scale.

In his keynote, Dr. Portisch will share practical insights into architectural choices, best practices, and common pitfalls when building enterprise knowledge graphs. He will also highlight how semantically grounded knowledge infrastructures can strengthen AI systems by improving robustness, explainability, and trust, and will provide an outlook on neuro-symbolic AI as a promising bridge between statistical learning and symbolic reasoning.
