Talking about Education Across Communities at Helmholtz

Join us in Berlin from 1-3 December 2026 for the sixth edition of the "Talking about Education Across Communities at Helmholtz" (TEACH) community conference!

The TEACH conference is a participant-driven community event that brings together individuals passionate about teaching. Teaching staff, educational researchers, training coordinators, and HR developers join forces to share methods, best practices, and experiences. The aim: to strengthen the teaching community across the Helmholtz Association and its partner institutions – because high-quality education is the foundation of high-quality research.

This year’s edition will focus on evidence-based learning and learning science. The conference gives insights in how findings from learning sciences can be applied to improve training and education. How do people learn effectively? Which evidence do we have for the effectiveness of different teaching approaches? And how can these findings be translated into engaging and impactful training practices?

Whether you're interested in contributing with a talk or workshop, or simply eager to engage as an attendee, we invite you to join us at TEACH 6!



TEACH 6 at a glance

Call for Contributions
TEACH 6 thrives on participation, exchange, and community contributions. We warmly invite members of the Helmholtz community and partner institutions to actively shape the conference program.
Specifically, we are looking for contributions that share experiences, practical approaches, research perspectives, tools, methods, and lessons learned related to teaching and training in scientific contexts. Contributions may align with the conference theme of evidence-based learning and learning science, but submissions on broader topics connected to teaching, facilitation, and training are equally welcome. The call will be open open from 08. June 2026 to 04. September 2026.
